Kristin Ceriani
PT, DPT, CEO
Kristin Ceriani is one of the founders and a Board Director of WHALE Respite Center and is thrilled to serve as WHALE’s Co-President and Executive Director. Kristin has spent over ten years researching, planning, and working toward the creation of a respite center in Greeley, driven by a deep commitment to supporting children with disabilities and their families. Kristin is a licensed physical therapist with over 20 years of experience. She holds both a Bachelor’s degree and a Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy, along with a STAIRS pediatric certification. In addition to her role at WHALE, Kristin is the Owner and CEO of Oasis Pediatric Therapy, where she continues to serve children and families in the community. Kristin is an active member of the Colorado Nonprofit Association, the Weld Early Childhood Council, the Satellite Rotary Club, and the American Physical Therapy Association, including its Pediatric Section. She previously served on the Executive Committee of the Colorado Interagency Coordinating Council (CICC), which makes recommendations to Colorado’s Early Intervention Program. During her tenure, Kristin led the Service Coordinator of the Year and Provider of the Year committees. Kristin loves working with families and children and is deeply passionate about helping children reach both their family-centered goals and their motor milestones. She views her work as a life calling—one that focuses on building strong partnerships with families, connecting them to meaningful resources, and helping them thrive rather than simply survive. Kristin believes in the power of compassionate care, collaboration, and community support to create lasting, positive change for children and families.

Lacy Hoyer Helms
MA CCC-SLP, President
Jacqueline “Lacy” Hoyer-Helms, MA CCC-SLP is the co-founder and president of the non-profit We Help and Love Everyone (WHALE) that was established in 2022. WHALE provides center-based respite services to children of all abilities. Lacy is also the president and co-owner of OASIS Pediatric Therapy. OASIS Pediatric Therapy provides skilled physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, and family CNA services to children in 10 Colorado counties. Lacy began her career as a speech-language pathologist. She received a Master of Arts degree in Speech-Language Pathology in 2004 from the University of Northern Colorado and is a certified member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). She was appointed by the Executive Director of the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) as a member to the Home Care Advisory Committee in 2019. This committee represents providers and consumers of home care and hospice services in Colorado. Lacy was appointed as the President of the Colorado Speech-Language Hearing Association (CSHA) for 2024. She was also appointed to the State-Based Reimbursement Network (STAR) by the STARs are ASHA-member audiologists and speech-language pathologists who advocate in their states for improved health care coverage and reasonable reimbursement. Their targets are key decision-makers in private corporations, public agencies, and the local legislature. Lacy is a member of the Greeley Area Chamber of Commerce and serves on the Steering Committee for the Lead’s Group. She is also a member Colorado Women’s Chamber of Commerce (CWCC) and attends the CEO Forum meetings. Lacy regularly attends leadership conferences and participates in initiatives to advance, advocate and educate providers, legislators, and the community to improve access to quality services for all. She is driven to advance her knowledge to assist with providing access to services for the underserved community.

Nick, who is a KBS Vice President, set aside plans to become a physician to join the family business. He specializes in taxation of individuals and small businesses and is an expert on payroll best practices. He enjoys spending time with his wife and son, loves to cook and play piano.

Brian Lawrence lives in middle Tennessee with his wife and three boys. He is a life and leadership coach. When he is not having adventures with his family, he loves to barbecue with friends and visit distilleries.
